Advanced Air Pollution Monitoring an ELI and INECE Public Webinar
The availability of monitoring data is critical to understanding the nature of air pollution problems, supporting compliance and enforcement actions, and assuring communities are protected. However, air quality data in many locations around the world, in neighborhoods impacted by hazardous air pollutants, and for air emissions that cause climate change such as methane, are often limited or difficult to obtain. Technology developments including satellite- and drone-based monitors, infrared cameras, handheld monitors that can be used by both government personnel and members of the public, among others are expanding the data available to government and citizens.
Event details
The webinar will explore advancements in air monitoring technology; how this new data is contributing to compliance and enforcement efforts; issues related to the use of these technologies including data quality, how the data may be used, and privacy; and emerging restrictions on gathering and use of air quality data.
