Marine Estate Management Strategy Webinar: Water quality and litter

The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) has launched a webinar series for three initiatives as part of the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy (MEMS). These include Initiative 1: Water quality and litter, Initiative 2: Healthy coastal habitats and sustainable development, and Initiative 3: Planning for climate change.

In this upcoming webinar you’ll hear from the NSW Government’s multi-agency, multi-disciplinary team delivering Initiative 1 of the Marine Estate Management Strategy (MEMS).

The MEMS Initiative 1 is focused on improving water quality. Presenters from a wide range of NSW Government Departments, including DPI Fisheries, DPE Planning, Local Land Services and others, will update you on current MEMS Initiative 1 projects, spanning a wide range of topics such as: – Review of the NSW water quality objectives – On ground works to reduce diffuse-source pollution – Clean Coastal Catchments research and on ground works – Fish friendly workshops for Councils.
