NELA National Conference – ‘Intersecting crises of climate change and biodiversity loss – where to next for Australian environmental law?’

• On biodiversity and the race to nature positive – hear Dr Phillipa McCormack (University of Adelaide / NELA), Brendan Wintle (Biodiversity Council), Jack Pascoe (Biodiversity Council), James Fitzsimmons (Nature Conservancy), Rachel Walmsley (Environmental Defenders Office).

• On climate action and the race to net zero  – hear Associate Professor, Justine Bell-James (University of Queensland / NELA), Dr Andrea Vecchi (University of Melbourne/ Net Zero Australia), Claire Smith (Clayton Utz), Professor Samantha Hepburn (Deakin University), David Hertzberg (Equity Generation Lawyers), Dr Arjuna Dibley (University of Melbourne).

• On international perspectives in environment protection and indigenous rights – hear Dr Judith Preston (Macquarie University), The Hon. Justice Dr Sarah Pritchard (Land & Environment Court of New South Wales).
• Emrys Nekvapil SC will also be guest speaker at the conference dinner on Friday evening.
