This month marks the national celebration of NAIDOC Week and the recognition of the rich history, culture and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters. It is a time for us all to ‘Keep the fire burning! Blak, Loud and Proud!’ and show our appreciation for one of the oldest living cultures on the planet.
As regulators, our work relies on a nuanced understanding of the land we are custodians of and the people that live on it, harvest from it, grow with it, and appreciate it in many different ways. Take a moment this month to deepen your appreciation for our shared lands, and shared cultures so we can live in closer harmony with one another and celebrate our differences.
