Upcoming CoP Meeting Schedule – February/March

Our first five Community of Practice meetings have been scheduled for 2025, join our CoP chairs and your peers in the Biodiversity & Protected Areas, Impact Assessment, Energy & Mining, Compliance Auditing and Waste Crime CoPs.

What’s coming up in 2025?

We are working withour fantastic team of CoP Chairs and Co-Chairs to determine key topics to address and collaborate on throughout the year, webinar deep-dive topics, and potential new work programs for 2025.

With over 1,300 active AELERT member officers active across 16 network groups, now is the time to get involved and let your voice be heard! If you have particular topics you are passionate about and would like to explore more deeply through AELERT please bring your suggestions to these meetings to be noted!

CoP Meeting Schedule:

Biodiversity & Protected Areas (Marine/Land) Community of Practice

In today’s session the Biosdiversity CoP will explore group demographics to inform direction for 2025, CoP Chair Lucy Maguire will present a case study on sucessful removal of watercraft stored on public land in sensitive area, followed by member success stories from 2024 plus goals and work programs for 2025.

Energy & Mining Community of Practice

Compliance Auditing Community of Practice

For the first session of 2025 the Compliance Auditing CoP will be sharing and comparing notes on templates used for your auditing processes and discussing their benefits and limitations. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one another and enhance auditing practice in a collaborative and lively environment.

Impact Assessment Community of Practice

This session will be led by Western Australian CoP members exploring waste levy avoidance investigations.
