AELERT Regulators Gathering – Whadjuk Lands, Boorloo (Perth)
Gather together with your fellow regulators in Western Australia to put the learnings from the AELERT-INECE 2024 Global Summit into action!
The WA AELERT Regulators Gathering is an event for regulators at all levels of government from Local, to State and Federal agencies to connect and participate in discussions with a strong practical focus on collaborating to overcome shared challenges in 2025 and beyond.
The topics and content for the event program are being developed in collaboration with our planning committee in Western Australia to ensure that it is relevant and applicable right now, in the current regulatory climate.
The topics covered in this event include:
- AELERT network update and debrief from the recent 2024 Global Summit
- WA peer agency updates (agency remit, challenges, priorities, emerging issues & work programs)
Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER)
National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA)
Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) – TBC
DCCEEW (Cth) – TBC
Local Government delegates – TBC
- Organisational Maturity session, updated MRIT & water sector customisation
- Risk-based regulation, setting regulatory priorities, and outcomes performance reporting
