About

These practitioner professional development programs are intentionally designed to maximise value and benefits for individuals and to provide the tools to continue career advancement and lifelong learning.

Capability building goes beyond a reliance on training. AELERT endorses the 70:20:10 capability framework model where the majority of your learnings come on the job, 20% comes from observing competent and confident colleagues exercise the craft, and 10% from training. AELERT offers a holistic and structured approach that includes the Regulatory Officer Capability Self-Assessment Tool (ROCSAT), so you and your supervisor can track your path to being a competent practitioner.

If you would like to see a capability program with a specific focus, we encourage you to discuss your thoughts and ideas with your peers in the Professional Development Community of Practice.
