AELERT forms exciting new partnership with EIANZ

Mar 13, 2025

We are delighted to announce that Australasian Environmental Law Enforcement and Regulators neTwork (AELERT) has formed a new partnership with the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ)!

This partnership will connect AELERT members with EIANZ, Australasia’s peak body for environmental practitioners representing 3,500 members and certified environmental practitioners in Australia and New Zealand, as part of a global network over 100,000.

AELERT CEO, Gregory Abood, said:

“We are proud to formally partner with the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) and we look forward to new opportunities to strengthen the connection between regulatory and non-regulatory practitioners within the broader environmental profession in Australia, New Zealand, and overseas, as we are better together!

Our partnership with EIANZ is a stepping stone for greater collaboration and innovation in 2025 that will build and better recognise regulatory practitioner and leader capabilities in impact assessment, climate change and contaminated sites.”

EIANZ President, Vicki Brady FEIANZ CEnvP, said:

“Strong environmental regulatory frameworks and practices have never been more important, and EIANZ and AELERT each have essential important roles to play in promoting best practice throughout the profession.

We are thrilled to be working with AELERT on common goals to benefit our members and the environment profession across the region.”

As the environment profession grows, EIANZ & AELERT share a commitment to promoting best practice in environmental management and regulation. This partnership creates a formal framework for collaboration on policy advocacy and the development of guidelines and other resource materials, as well as professional development and training.

AELERT’s network partnerships

Through partnerships with aligned networks, associations and other organisations, AELERT is able to draw on the combined skills, knowledge, and capabilities of regulatory specialists from across the world both to inform, and to influence the strategic direction of this network and shared priorities.

We are pleased to offer additional and varied opportunities for our members both directly through access to products and services, and indirectly through strategic collaboration on events, work programs, and advice to strengthen the regulatory profession and create value for our members.

Our partnership with EIANZ adds to our existing partnerships within Oceania including:
