DCCEEW unveils its First Nations Engagement Report

Apr 19, 2024

The Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water has launched its inaugural edition of the First Nations Engagement Report, a bi-monthly publication aimed at providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and comprehensive reporting on the diverse landscape of First Nations engagements within the department.

Drawing from rich, user-generated data gathered since the launch of the First Nations Engagement register and calendar in October 2023, this report sheds light on 109 First Nations engagements across the department in a compelling and easy-to-read format.

Embark on an illuminating journey with the Sustainable Ocean Plan taskforce as they share their reflections on a series of engagements with First Nations communities in 2023. Their case study unveils the collaborative efforts of developing a Sustainable Ocean Plan for Australia in partnership with First Nations people.

The continued publication of the First Nations Engagement Report will occur every 2 months. Join the report mailing list or reach out with any questions or feedback to FirstNationsEngagementSupport@dcceew.gov.au
