National Reconciliation Week is observed this week from Monday 27 May to 3 June
While National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, it is also a time for us to come together in our organisations to contribute to the community of Australians who are engaged and supportive of First Nations people and reconciliation.
The NRW theme for 2024, Now More Than Ever, is a reminder that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will – and must – continue.
Many of our member organisations are already operating under a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to turn their good intentions into action by forming relationships, fostering respect and creating opportunities for First Nation’s peoples and supporting the national reconciliation movement.
The four RAP types – Reflect, Innovate, Stretch and Elevate – allow organisations to continuously develop their reconciliation commitments.
We encourage you to share your organisation’s RAPs with the network, view RAPs or submit your own in the Resource Library.
You can also search for RAPs from over 3,000 organisations that are a part of the Reconciliation Australia network on their website.
What else can I do?
